Foreword
Since
beginning of civilisation deep spiritual quest has been a part of
human nature. Over years of questioning and seeking answers to life's
imponderables, the collective wisdom of human mind has discovered
that the spiritual way of living is the way to fulfilment in life.
All can find this fulfilment while remaining fully involved and
engaged in our day to day activities. It is the way life is meant
to be lived.
The
burning problem is the apparent contradiction of ethics and basic
values of spiritual philosophy and the philosophy of the worldly
life we lead. The
solution lies in the clarity in understanding of both the worlds,
testing them with one's Buddhi and Viveka - intelligence and discerning
power - and discovering that the Spiritual way of living is indeed
as practical and as rational as our day to day life truly demands.
Knowledge
per se is of not much use unless it is applied to life and inspire
right living.
This
is possible. A true Yogi is he who constantly translates the spiritual
wisdom into a way of living. This endeavor of remaining all the
time engaged (Yukta) in practical application of the knowledge,
differentiates between human living and animal existence.
This
will be more clear as we go along the current article and other
artcles in the series and try to understand such topics as:

Understanding
the Lord's creation in our perspective |

our own position |

a qualitative transformation.
