PREPARATIONS
FOR SADHANA -Part 2
"Based
on the lectures by Sri Bimal Mohanty"
When everything start pointing towards the Bramhan the mind eventually
condescends to rest on the thoughts of Bramhan.
One should not feel disheartened when doubts about the Lord claws one's
inside. As long as doubts are natural and healthy and not destructive
it is a sure sign of a mind that is engaged in a change of character.
Some faiths prohibit any criticism of The Lord at all branding them as
blasphemy. The greatness of The sanatana philosophy lies in its tolerance
rather encouragement to all questions from a doubting mind. Great sages
and seers before reaching their state of sansuddhabuddhi
, before they acquired clarity of thought, were also full of doubts and
questions. Only caution was that ma vidvisavahai- the doubts
and questions should never be based on acrimony. "Avoid vain disputing,
but exchange views freely" that is the advice given by Sri Aurobindo to
all of us.
So far what we have said is that, we have taken a sankalpa
in our mind to pursue and acquire truth, we have physically and mentally
made ourselves strong for the long journey towards our ultimate goal and
we are constantly engaging our mind and intellect in gathering all knowledge
from the right sources and thereby achieved a certain stage of clarity
of perception about the Bramhan. There remain a few more preparatory steps
yet to be taken.
